Gladman Scotland Team Building Event

Apr 24, 2017

Thursday 20th April saw the team from Gladman Scotland testing their skills in the kitchen rather than the office at the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School. Despite a couple of absentees, the team was represented by 10 eager participants.

The group was split up into 3 teams. Each team was tasked with making 3 ‘Thai Street Food’ recipes. There were various items on the menu, ranging from Phad Thai to Duck Pancakes to Pork and Vegetable Dumplings.

Not as fast as ready steady cook, but still fairly fast, the teams got straight to work prepping their dishes. In no time at all, the team were straight into action on the cookers, infusing the room with Thai aroma. Although there were separate teams, this didn’t stop one another helping each other out with constructing certain items. Once this was completed, there was an emphasis on presentation with all teams showing an eye for precision. It was now time for the sampling.

Sat around a grand table overlooking Queen Street, the Firth of Forth and beyond, the team filled their plates with items from each of the dishes. Whilst the majority of food was tasty but also edible, it is fair to say that a couple of people should not give up their day jobs.  The team building night continued onto a neighbouring bar.

All in all a good night, Gladman Scotland highly recommend the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School for future team building and also cooperate events.
